Deadlines

Tax calendar

Key filing and compliance cycles for UK and UAE entities. Exact dates depend on your accounting period, FTA allocation and group structure. This page sets out what to plan for, not substitute dates for your entities.

UK

UK Corporation Tax payment and return

Typical frequency: Usually 9 months and 1 day after accounting period end (payment); 12 months after period end (return)

Deadlines depend on accounting period and whether the company is large. Groups with UAE parents need CT computations aligned with transfer pricing and intercompany balances.

Companies House accounts and confirmation statement

Typical frequency: Annual, based on accounting reference date and confirmation statement review date

Late filing affects credit rating and director compliance. UK subsidiaries of UAE groups must reflect group policies and related-party disclosures where applicable.

UK VAT return and payment

Typical frequency: Usually quarterly; monthly for larger businesses

Cross-border services to or from UAE entities may affect place of supply, reverse charge and evidence requirements. Partial exemption applies to some property and mixed businesses.

UK PAYE and RTI reporting

Typical frequency: Monthly RTI; annual employer obligations

Directors paid through UK payroll while based in the UAE can raise cross-border employment and social security questions requiring specialist review.

UAE

UAE Corporate Tax return and payment

Typical frequency: Generally 9 months from financial year end (verify for your entity)

Free Zone Persons, related-party transactions and transfer pricing disclosure may affect the return. Accounting records must support tax adjustments.

UAE VAT return and payment

Typical frequency: Monthly or quarterly depending on FTA allocation

Imports, exports, designated zones and cross-border services with UK entities require consistent treatment and supporting tax invoices.

UAE eInvoicing rollout milestones

Typical frequency: Phased from 2026 to 2027 depending on taxpayer category

Businesses should assess ERP, master data, VAT fields and process controls before their phase deadline. Readiness reviews reduce last-minute implementation risk.

Cross-Border

Transfer pricing documentation and disclosure

Typical frequency: Aligned with UAE CT return cycle and UK group reporting

UK–UAE groups should maintain intercompany agreements, benchmarking and transaction matrices before year-end close, not after the audit.

Group reporting and intercompany reconciliation

Typical frequency: Monthly or quarterly management cycles; annual statutory consolidation

Common chart of accounts, FX policies and elimination schedules should be agreed across UK and UAE finance teams to avoid duplicated adjustments.

Client-specific calendars

Engaged clients receive deadline tracking across UK and UAE entities, including Companies House, HMRC, FTA and internal group reporting dates.

Cross-border coordination

Groups should align year-end close, transfer pricing documentation and intercompany reconciliation before statutory filings in either jurisdiction.

Tax rules and deadlines change. Verify all dates against current HMRC, Companies House and FTA guidance for your entity.
